Student Success is of the utmost importance at Mayville State University, and a fundamental component of our historic and current mission as “The School of Personal Service”. Among the university’s approved purposes is delivery of flexible programs, quality instruction, and student services to meet the needs of the individual. Excellence in the classroom continues to be a top priority. The combination of high quality curriculum and technology makes for satisfied students with high job-placement rates. MSU continues to grow academic programs addressing critical workforce shortages across our state and nation, with attention to our growing distance learning opportunities. To enhance the college experience, MSU students can participate in intercollegiate athletics, fine arts, music and drama opportunities, and a host of student clubs and organizations. There is something for everyone at Mayville State University! Mayville State University (MSU) began as Mayville Normal School in 1889. Since then, MSU has steadily grown and progressed. MSU has set numerous all-time enrollment records and has outpaced the next-fastest, growing in North Dakota by more than four-times. MSU has renovated and improved campus through nearly $30 million effort. Our campus has been nationally recognized as one of the most attractive, yet affordable campuses.
