Lubbock Christian University

Lubbock Christian University was founded in 1957 by members of the churches of Christ. Lubbock Christian University is a Christ-centered, academic community of learners, transforming the hearts, minds, and hands of students for lives of purpose and service. The university is known for its academic excellence and its commitment to faith that seeks understanding, where wisdom is pursued, vocation is discerned, and service is fostered. The institution typically enrolls from 1900-2100 students—1500-1600 undergraduate and 400-500 graduate. Lubbock Christian University employs 93 full-time faculty and has an undergraduate student to faculty ratio of 13:1. Traditional students make up 81% of enrollment. Traditionally delivered credit hours represent 84% of offerings with 6% offered by hybrid delivery and 10% offered online. The university academic structure is divided into four colleges, two schools, and eleven departments, offering 66 baccalaureate and 23 masters-level programs.
