Lubbock Christian University

Lubbock Christian University was founded in 1957 by members of the churches of Christ. Lubbock Christian University is a Christ-centered, academic community of learners, transforming the hearts, minds, and hands of students for lives of purpose and service. The university is known for its academic excellence and its commitment to faith that seeks understanding, where wisdom is pursued, vocation is discerned, and service is fostered. The institution typically enrolls from 1600-2000 students—1300-1600 undergraduate and 200-400 graduate. Lubbock Christian University employs 87 full-time faculty and has an undergraduate student to faculty ratio of 14:1. Traditional students make up 86% of enrollment. Traditionally delivered credit hours represent 77% of offerings with 13% offered by hybrid delivery and 10% offered online. The university academic structure is divided into four colleges, two schools, and eleven departments, offering 54 baccalaureate and 19 masters-level programs.
