The Student Achievement Measure is supported by six sponsoring associations, working together to provide a more comprehensive and accurate picture of student progress and completion as students move across institutions and state boundaries.

Purdue University-Main Campus

Purdue University is Indiana's land-grant institution, known not only for science, technology, engineering, and math programs, but also for its imagination, ingenuity, and innovation. It's a place where those who seek an education come to make their ideas real – especially when those transformative discoveries lead to scientific, technological, social, or humanitarian impact. Numerous luminaries have launched their careers at this Big Ten university, including Neil Armstrong and 22 other astronauts, C-SPAN founder Brian Lamb, Forbes' "100 Most Powerful Women" honoree Beth Brooke, legendary basketball coach John Wooden, the 2010 Nobel laureate in chemistry, Ei-ichi Negishi, and the 2009 World Food Prize winner, Gebisa Ejeta. The university is a partner in the Gallup-Purdue Index, the largest representative study of college graduates in U.S. history. The index, announced in December 2013, will measure the most important outcomes of higher education, ensuring that universities are preparing students to be contributing and productive citizens in their workplaces and their communities. More than 39,000 students are enrolled at Purdue, and all 50 states and 130 countries are represented.
