Mohawk Valley Community College-Utica Branch

Mohawk Valley Community College, founded in 1946, was the first community college established in New York State. As a part of the State University of New York (SUNY) system, MVCC’s mission is to promote student success and community involvement through a commitment to excellence and a spirit of service. MVCC participates in the National Community College Benchmark project, the VFA (Voluntary Framework of Accountability), as well as being the first SUNY community college to join Achieving the Dream. Participation in such endeavors, with a strong commitment to use data for improvement, makes MVCC’s involvement in SAM a natural continuation of our efforts.
