MSU continues to grow academic programs addressing critical workforce shortages across our state and nation, with attention to our growing distance learning opportunities. To enhance the college experience, MSU students can participate in intercollegiate athletics, fine arts, music and drama opportunities, and a host of student clubs and organizations. There is something for everyone at Mayville State University! Mayville State University (MSU) began as Mayville Normal School in 1889. Since then, MSU has steadily grown and progressed. MSU has set numerous all-time enrollment records and has outpaced the next-fastest, growing in North Dakota by more than four-times. MSU has renovated and improved campus through nearly $30 million effort. Our campus has been nationally recognized as one of the most attractive, yet affordable campuses.
